Yes, the libraries are happy to accept book donations. This is what we do with them:
- The librarians will check through the books to see if there are any titles that we would add to our collection. This decision is based on whether the book is current and in excellent condition, whether it meets the needs of the curriculum and the information is accurate, and most importantly, whether it is an attractive book for students.
- Some books may be separated out and given to teachers to add to classroom libraries (including world languages).
- The remaining books that are in good condition are donated to other institutions in need of books.
- Books in poor condition are discarded.
If you are happy for us to make these decisions about the donated books, the libraries a happy to receive donations.
