This year we celebrated Virtual Book Week, 17-21 May 2021. Students and staff participated in a range of activities and enjoyed a light hearted celebration of ‘Reading’ and all things ‘BOOKS’!

Activities included:

  • A range of Kahoots testing opur knowledge of books and literature, ranging from the Classics to Young Adult and General Book Knowledge.
  • D.E.A.R.Drop Everythign And Read times were scheduled so that once a day, every staff memeber and student would stop whatever they were doing and read a book for 10 minutes.
  • 25 mystery teachers provided images of themselves reading for the Guess the Teacher Competition. Many hilarious guesses followed with 15 being the best score for correct guesses!
  • Our Dress Up Day was also a lot of virtual fun, with many students and teachers dressing up as characters form books they love and enjoy!
  • The Virtual Book Fair, provided by Books @53, offered a range of books at a discout for students, parents and staff. I hope everyone had a chance to browse and purchase some great materials.

I would like to thank everyone who joined in and participated. Congratulations to the 42 students who were awarded Book Vouchers from Kinokuniya. They were Kahoots stars, Guess the Teacher winners and Costume wearing students from across the school!
