2021 is shaping up to be a very interesting year for the Libraries.

We have taken on several new initiatives, including a new website, easier access to our digital resources, and a new eBook and eAudiobook platform.

New Website

Our new website aims to keep all our patrons up to date with all things Libraries @ NIST, including books and resources as well as news and events through easily accessible drop down menus for the Libraries’ catalogues and digital resources including links and login details. We also include library images, blog posts, links to reading resources.

Digital Resources

Our digital resources are now easily accessible and can be found in one place – on Veracross. You can use the links in the dropdown menus on the Libraries website, or the links under the resources menu on Veracross. For students and parents, the resources have been divided into Elementary focused and Secondary focused, but with your Veracross login, you will have access to all the links and login details. For staff, all resources and login details have been combined on one page, but then divided into Whole School, Elementary. and Secondary to make the resources you need easier to locate.

Because you can only access these pages after logging into Veracross, we have been able to include all login details on the same page. Very secure. Very easy to use.

SORA by Overdrive

NIST is now part of the Thailand International Schools Consortium, giving you access to thousands of eBooks and eAudiobooks through SORA by Overdrive. By subscribing to the Consortium, we are able to offer a much broader and extensive range of materials for you to read and enjoy.

You can access SORA by Overdrive by using the link on the Digital Resources page, following the links in the Destiny catalogues, or bookmarking soraapp.com.

To login:

  • Click on ‘Find my school’
  • Click on Thailand International Schools Consortium / NIST International School
  • Select NIST International School
  • Login with your Destiny password
    • For students and staff – the beginning of your NIST email address
    • For parents – your Veracross ID number

Please be sure to use the ‘Read Sample’ or ‘Listen to Sample’ functions before borrowing a book.

Once you borrow the book, it is yours to download and read, however it will automatically disappear after 2 weeks.

If a book is not available at the time, you can place it on hold and you will be notified when the book is available.

 Happy Reading!!!
